We drift with the seasons.
Most stores stock the same thousand things all year and hope something sticks. We do the opposite. Drifthaul carries a small shelf that changes as the year does — because the gear you actually need in July has nothing to do with what you need in December.
Right now it's summer, so it's cooling and out-the-door gear: a handheld fan that fits in a pocket, a water bottle that folds flat for your dog on the trail. When the season turns, so do we.
How we pick
Every product has to clear the same three questions before it earns a spot:
- Does it solve a real problem? Not a clever problem. A real one, that a real person has this month.
- Is it good at one thing? We pass on anything stuffed with features nobody asked for. The best version of a small tool does one job well.
- Is it the right time? A great product in the wrong month is the wrong product. Timing is most of the job.
If something can't clear all three, it doesn't go on the shelf — which is why the shelf stays short.
The catch (and the point)
Seasonal means seasonal. When a season closes, that gear rotates out and doesn't come back until the year comes back around. If something here is right for you, it's right for you now.
